MOM TALK IS A TWO-DAY CONFERENCE FOR MOMS OF ALL AGES NO MATTER WHAT STAGE OF LIFE YOU ARE IN- THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

OUR GOAL IS THAT YOU WALK AWAY ENCOURAGED THROUGH THE WORD, REFRESHED AND ENCOUNTER GOD IN A WAY THAT WILL CHANGE YOU AND THE WAY YOU WALK IN MOTHERHOOD AND WOMANHOOD FOREVER.

  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MOM TO ATTEND MOM TALK. THERE ARE BREAK OUTS DESIGNED FOR WOMEN, IN GENERAL, AND THE SPEAKER BRINGS A MESSAGE THAT EVERY ONE CAN RECEIVE AND APPLY!

Rarely are the terms hilarious storyteller and theological scholar used in the same sentence, much less used to describe the same person but then again, Lisa Harper is anything but stereotypical! She’s been lauded as a gifted communicator, whose writing and speaking overflow with colorful pop culture references that connect the dots between the Bible era and modern life. Her style combines sound scriptural exposition with easy-to-relate to anecdotes and comedic wit.

Best-selling author and pastor Max Lucado calls Lisa one of the “best Bible tour guides around,” and author/actress Priscilla Evans Shirer adds, “Her God-given ability to not merely teach the Word but package it in a way that stirs the heart and calls to action is incomparable. When she speaks, ears perk up!”

Her vocational resume includes five years in full-time youth ministry, six years as the director of Focus on the Family’s national women’s ministry where she created the popular Renewing the Heart conferences attended by almost 200,000 women, followed by seven years as the women’s ministry director at a large church in Nashville. Her academic resume includes a Masters of Theological Studies with honors from Covenant Seminary inSt. Louis. Now a sought-after Bible teacher and speaker, she’s been featured on numerous television and radio programs, spoken at hundreds of national and international women’s events, as well as in churches around the world. But she’s also very invested locally and has been leading a weekly neighborhood Bible study for many years and co-teaches a community study in her home church.

And if you can’t find Lisa studying, teaching or riding a 4-wheeler with her daughter, she’s probably typing on a keyboard somewhere because she’s had 13 books published ~including the recent children’s book,Who’s Your Daddy?,and has written and filmed 5 best-selling Bible study video curriculums, including the just released Job: A Story of Unlikely Joy.

Yet when asked about her credentials, the most noticeable thing about Lisa Harper is her authenticity. During a recent interview she said, “I’m so grateful for the opportunities God’s given me but don’t forget, He often uses donkeys and rocks!”She went on to describe her greatest accomplishment to date as getting to be Missy’s mama. Because in April 2014, after a difficult two-year journey and several adoption losses, she finally got to bring her little girl home from Haiti and she’s been smiling ever since.

GROUP TICKET PRICE for 10 or more- $25 EACH ($5 OFF REGULAR TICKET) Please contact washington avenue baptist church for group tickets.

CHILDCARE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN FROM Infant TO 11 YEARS OF AGE.

CHILDCARE REGISTRATION closes Saturday march 21st!

Steps On registering Children

Step 1: Purchase an attendee ticket for yourself!

Step 2: For every child you need care for, you will select Add Someone Else and select child ticket in drop down ($5 each).

Step 3: Hit continue to complete registration.

THE CHILDCARE WORKERS AT MOM TALK ARE AMAZING! THEY FEED THE CHILDREN MEALS AND SNACKS, HAVE ACTIVITIES AND CRAFTS PLANNED, THE 3 AND UNDER CLASSES EVEN HAVE NAP TIME!

Are there any meals provided at the Mom Talk Conference?

Friday evening, FOOD TRUCKS WILL BE ON-SITE FOR YOU TO PURCHASE DINNER AND coffee cart too!

How do the breakout sessions work?

THERE WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO GO TO THREE DIFFERENT BREAKOUT SESSIONS THAT ARE SPECIFIC TO WHAT YOU MIGHT BE WALKING THROUGH RIGHT NOW. THEY ARE LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE CAMPUS, SO MAKE SURE TO REFER TO YOUR MAP.

Breakout sessions are at 12:30, 1:30 and 3:30.

 

What is the Sweet Social?

WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR MOM TALK 2019, SO LET’S CELEBRATE WITH something sweet! AFTER THE FRIDAY NIGHT SESSION CLOSES, SOCIALIZE WITH THE WOMEN OF THE CONFERENCE AND ENJOY something sweet ON US!

 
 

Is there a place to nurse my baby? 

YES, WE WILL HAVE A DESIGNATED AREA FOR MOTHERS WHO ARE NURSING AND NEED A PRIVATE AREA. YOU ARE ALSO WELCOME TO CARRY YOUR BABY WITH YOU THROUGHOUT THE EVENT.
