MOM Talk is a two-day conference bringing expecting moms, moms of all ages (young kids, teenagers, empty nesters), parental guardians and even grandmothers together to be encouraged through the Word, feel refreshed and encounter God in a way that will change you and the way you walk in motherhood and womanhood forever. 

We will never turn anyone away! If you work with children as a career or volunteer as childcare worker you might gain wisdom and encouragement from MOM Talk.

LISA-JO BAKER IS CONVINCED THAT THE SHORTEST DISTANCE BETWEEN STRANGERS IS A SHARED AWKWARD STORY.

She lives just outside Washington, DC, with her husband and their three very loud kids, where she connects, encourages and champions women in person and online through her honest take on life and her ability to laugh at herself and learn out loud from her mistakes.

She is the author of Surprised by Motherhoodand her newest release Never Unfriended, as well as the Bible Study, We Saved You a Seatthe creator of The Temper Toolkit and her writings have been syndicated from New Zealand to New York including on Huffington Post Parents, BlogHer, Desert News, Focus on the Family, Stroller Traffic, iVillage, OH Baby!, the Power of Moms, and Christianity.com.

Childcare


 

Childcare will be available for children from 2 years of age through 6th grade. Please arrive early to fill out check in information (includes names, phone numbers, allergy information etc.) for your children so our childcare workers can better care for your child.

*When you purchase your ticket, please make sure to choose "General Admission with childcare" to register your kid(s).

 

Food


There is no food provided throughout the event, except for the Cupcake Social. Yay for cupcakes!

During the break for lunch, food trucks will be in the parking lot of the church for you to eat on campus, or you can load up and go out to eat! 

 

Mom Shop


Open Friday night and Saturday till 2 p.m.

Mom Shop is a place where you can break away for some retail therapy and see local vendors.

How can I spread the word or invite women to Mom Talk?  

We have a section on our website called Promotional Materials. There you will find several ways to share with others about coming to the MOM Talk Conference. 

 

Are there any meals provided at the Mom Talk Conference?

There are no meals provided, but there will be cupcakes provided on Friday evening.

Saturday there will be Food Trucks on-site for you to eat lunch or you can search for a local restaurant nearby.

 

Is childcare provided at the Mom Talk Conference?

 For the first time in MOM Talk history, YES! We will have childcare available for kids from 3 years of age through the 6th grade. Please make sure to chose "General Admission with childcare" when you purchase your ticket online. Once you purchase your ticket, a team member will contact you to register your child/children.

Arrive early to the conference to check in your children and fill out information for our childcare workers. 

 

Who is invited to attend the Mom Talk Conference?

MOM Talk is primarily a conference targeted toward expecting moms, moms of all ages (young kids, teenagers, empty nesters), parental guardians and even grandmothers. If you are mom, you will benefit! However, we will never turn anyone away!  If you work with children as a career or volunteer as childcare worker you might gain wisdom and encouragement from MOM Talk.

 

Is there an age limit?

There is no age limit for MOM Talk.

 

What is the MOM Shop?

MOM Shop is an area for women to break away for some retail therapy from local vendors!

How do the breakout sessions work?

There will be an opportunity for you to go to three different breakout sessions that are specific to what you might be walking through right now. They are located throughout the campus, so make sure to refer to your map.

 

What is the Cupcake Social?

We are so excited you are here! So let's celebrate with cupcakes! After the Friday night session closes, socialize with the women of the conference and enjoy cupcakes on us!
